LaQuita Cleare (producer/actor) is an award winning actress/producer. She won an African Academy Award for her feature film, “Suicide Dolls.” LaQuita is from Chicago where she grew up doing theatre and went to Loyola University of Chicago. As an actress she has been seen in commercials, films, and Television around the world. She worked on the show, “Justified” with Timothy Olyphant and recently completed a lead role in an indie feature. She is the founder of Salsera Productions LLC, where she has developed several projects from inception to completion. She loves producing and creating work for herself and others. LaQuita is currently working on a pilot called, “Subject 5” that is in post-production.
Film Director & Screenwriter Emily Dell’s feature film, B-GIRL, about a talented young dancer in the male-dominated breakdance world, currently airs on Showtime, Starz and Encore Networks. It won “BEST FEATURE” at the LA Femme Film Festival and was released worldwide in 2010. Recent action short film BATTLE was profiled by H.Brothers TV 189 (China) and THE COMPASS ROSE was awarded “BEST ACTION” at the 2014 Buffalo Niagara Film Festival. Currently contracted to write and direct an action film with The China Film Corporation (The Karate Kid), Emily is partnered with her sister, producer Elizabeth Dell, in Two Camels Films. Together they were featured in the National Women’s History Museum in Washington D.C. Emily has directed audiobooks and has lectured in film for the New York Film Academy, 85 Broads, The Screen Actors Guild and National University and awarded The Virginia Center for Creative Arts Residency and The Writer’s Arc Screenplay Fellowship, among others. Past films have won “Audience Award”, H20 Festival New York City, “Best in Festival, Short” Berkeley Film Festival, and have been profiled at The American Cinematheque. Emily studied film at New York University and Neuroscience at UC Berkeley and lives in Los Angeles.
