Anoush NeVart (SAG/AFTRA), M.M., M.A., is proud to be an American-Armenian actress/musician. Originally from Boston, Mass, she has appeared in numerous TV shows, plays, and films, including Sex and the City2, Must Love Dogs, FAME, Cries from Ramah (1st place, Sedona Film Festival, 2006), and Carter’s Wish (nominated “Best Short Film”, 2003 @ LA’s International Film Festival). TV appearances include recurring Guest Star roles on “90210”, Zeke & Luther, TV pilots “Don’t Trust the B- In Apartment 23” and “Southland”, Guest appearances on Outsourced, The Unit, ER, Nip/Tuck, & General Hospital. In 2009, she performed in the Los Angeles Premiere of Jay Paul Deratany’s heart-wrenching play “Haram Iran”, earning Critics Pick from Backstage West as well as accolades for her portrayal of Mrs. Marhouni: “NeVart skillfully captures the mother’s desperate anguish.” In 2007, LA Times’ theatre critic called her portrayal of “Azniv” in Little Armenia at the Fountain Theatre a “standout” performance.
Anoush is also a concert pianist with two Master’s degrees from the Gomidas Conservatory (Armenia) and The University of Hartford’s Hartt College of Music. Her CD of original compositions, “Contemplations by the C’s” inspired by whales and dolphins was nominated for an Armenian Grammy in 2004. Anoush has performed as a Pianist at reknown venues such as the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in New York (“SPAC”) , the legendary National Music Foundation in Lenox, MA, as well as with the Hartford Symphony and the Hartford Pops Orchestras. She has also sung backup vocals for Shami Aslanian, conducts a Choir in Los Angeles called “The Freedom Singers” and has helped to raise money for homeless Vets.
Anoush currently resides in Los Angeles, California with her rescue dog “Fosse” and is committed to bringing truth and laughter to the lives people everywhere!
