After graduating with a BFA from the Leonard Davis Center in NYC, Kim Delgado worked in the entertainment industry for several years in various venues before starting his writing career in 1994. Mr. Delgado then began working for Barry Perleman Enterprises as a script consultant and story editor. While learning the Literary Business from Mr. Perleman Mr. Delgado honed his commercial writing skills working for independent advertising agencies and production companies. In 1998 Mr. Delgado began a long-standing relationship with Dobson Media Works and has since written over one hundred commercial radio and television commercials as well as corporate in house and print advertising. Mr. Delgado now works on a freelance basis with DMW and is seeking other employment.
Kim Delgado co-wrote the screenplay for the TV movie: “Taken in Broad Daylight,” now airing on Lifetime and the 3rd highest all time Lifetime Movie Network Rating. Kim has several screenplays under development.
As an actor, Kim Delgado started his acting career at the age of thirteen at PAF-Playhouse in Huntington Long Island. He became an equity member at sixteen and went on tour with Trinity Sq. Repertory’s award-winning play “Brother to Dragons”. Kim went on to film the PBS special of the play, Great Performances: Brother to Dragons (1975), directed by Adrian Hall. After graduating cum laude from the Davis Center in New York City, Kim went onto star with Lee Strasberg in Boardwalk (1979).
Kim Delgado has appeared in over fifty feature films and one hundred television shows. Some of his work includes, “Life As A House”, “Kindergarten Cop” (1990), “Patriot Games”, “Eddie”, “Good Burger”, “Arizona Seaside”, “Hard Four”, “2:13” and “The Rune Stone”. Kim has starred, guested, and co-starred in over two hundred television shows, mini-series and MOW’s including; Soul Man, Jane By Design, Southland, Brothers and Sisters, Eli Stone, Rules Of Engagement, Desperate House Wives, Grays Anatomy, Boston Legal, The Closer, NYPD Blue, Crossing Jordan, Friends, CSI, Ally McBeal, Drew Carey, Even Stevens, Friends, Charmed, Breast Men, Chance Of A Life Time, To Kill A Cop, ER, Family Law, The Practice and a series regular on Big Bad Beetle Borgs. Most recently Kim worked as a guest member on Greg Malin’s “FRESHMEN” TV pilot for ABC/FOX. The executive producer was Arianna Huffington.
Kim Delgado has also had recurring roles on many soap operas including: Bold And The Beautiful, All My Children, The Young And The Restless, General Hospital, Passions, One Life To Live, Ryans Hope, Loving, and Search For Tommorow. Mr Delgado’s theater resume lists over one hundred plays including: Hunting Cock Roaches, Brother To Dragons, A Mid Summers Night Dream, and A lovely Place For A Picnic.
