Michael Ajakwe Jr was Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ajakwe graduated from Inglewood’s Morningside High School, where he received the Outstanding Service Award. He earned an academic scholarship to the University of Redlands, where he earned Bachelor’s degrees in both English and Political Science, and was named Most Outstanding Senior of his graduating class. As a student, Ajakwe paid his way though college working in a movie theater, along with covering news and sports stories for Redlands Magazine, the Redlands Daily Facts and the Riverside Press Enterprise.
