Actors Entertainment host Alexis Nichols interviews fashion designer Aerin O’Connell in her studio loft in downtown Los Angeles where she runs her effortless style line, Intrepid Ao’C.

Originally a New Yorker, Aerin was an avid member of her Community Theatre & was asked to be a part of the Honors programs for Theatre Arts at Garden City High School. She not only acted in but also directed many plays as a youth. <p< < p=””> </p< <>
Studying Art History at Marymount Manhattan College, Aerin went on to work at Tony Shafrazi’s SOHO Art Gallery. Aerin later decided to pursue acting. But it wasn’t just a wild fling. She immediately then signed on to do several commercial ad campaigns for local, national, & global companies such as Toys “R” Us & then asked to be the face of a global recruitment campaign for Goldman Sachs. Aerin made appearances on VH1 shows such as “50 Most Fabulous Things” & graced the cover of the NY Times modeling a current Manhattan business venture. A group competing on the hit show, “The Apprentice,” chose Aerin for a modeling shoot for its Pontiac ad. <p< < p=””> </p< <>
Moving to Los Angeles, Aerin landed roles as the lead actress in many independent films. She teamed up with two co-founders to start a production company, poet fish films LLC. <p< < p=””> </p< <>
Aerin also freelanced as a producer for years. She produced the films OK, Cheating, woke up crying, & Under the Gun (24 Hour Film Fest Winner). Aerin also was also the co-executive producer of the OJ Simpson documentary & was a producer on the five-time award-winning feature film, Skyler (being released in all formants this Feb.) Aerin temporarily produced for Form Theory Productions as a communications director via Hierarchy Films.

Aerin is also busy volunteering. She participated in Katrina Relief efforts & worked with Global Volunteers, an organization in consulting status with the U.N.. Working with children’s hospitals, orphanages, being a part of an inaugural group to South Africa, Aerin helped start a daycare & worked with children of the community in Malungeni to develop a talent-based show. She is passionate about her charity work & is currently working on a documentary on Global Child Care.
