Kenyatta Mackey (West Coast Slave, Marva King, Margie Coleman, Rome, The Emotions, The Whispers and Darryl Neville of The Neville Brothers, The BabyDolls) started singing professionally at the age of three.
As the daughter of Bahamian music icon Tony McKay, who recorded as Exuma, she was exposed to a strong mixture of carnival, Junkanoo, rake ‘n’ scrape, calypso and ballad. She sings in five languages and is full of infectious energy and evokes the deepest and soulful expression of every word in a song.
